Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roman Savchuk!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Savchuk swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Savchuk fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Barnett avoids it really well and circles away.
Savchuk misses with a takedown attempt

and Barnett counters with a shoot takedown. Savchuk fights it but they end up in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Barnett is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Savchuk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Barnett throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Savchuk works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Barnett wants to pass the guard but Savchuk is keeping the position.

Josh Barnett has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Savchuk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Savchuk fails with a takedown attempt.
Josh Barnett has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Savchuk.

Barnett drives through and clinches with Savchuk against the cage.
Savchuk wants a takedown.
Savchuk can't get the takedown.
Savchuk has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Barnett avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Savchuk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Barnett uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Barnett.

Savchuk gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Barnett to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Barnett is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

We're going to have a standup here because Josh Barnett wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Barnett throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Savchuk shoots and misses
and Barnett counters with a leg kick.

Barnett closes the distance and pushes Savchuk back into the cage.

Barnett's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Barnett stuffs the takedown attempt from Savchuk. Savchuk gets slowly back to his feet.
Barnett throws a wild body kick that Savchuk sees coming a mile off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Savchuk gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Barnett.

It looks like Roman Savchuk has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Savchuk gets tackled into the cage by Barnett. Barnett maintains the clinch.
Savchuk wants a takedown but no success here.

Barnett throws a powerful right kick. Savchuk tried to block low but the kick was high! Savchuk was taken right off of his feet! Barnett jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

Josh Barnett decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
