Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rango Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon McBacon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McBacon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but McBacon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.

McBacon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McBacon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie has hold of McBacon's arm. He's looking for a kimura. McBacon seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! McBacon is real pain and he's forced to tap out! McBacon is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
