The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maxwell shoots in but Sanchez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sanchez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Maxwell is trying to control but can't.
Maxwell makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Maxwell.

Maxwell has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though.
Maxwell wants to get back to his feet but Sanchez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Maxwell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sanchez is one step ahead there.
Sanchez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Maxwell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sanchez wants to control but Maxwell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Maxwell passes to side control.

Maxwell tries for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well.
Sanchez prevents Maxwell from moving into mount.
Sanchez managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Maxwell.

Maxwell looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sanchez tries to buck Maxwell off but Maxwell is having none of it.
