These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mini Countryman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sling Shot!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Countryman wants to slow Shot down by chopping away at his legs.
Countryman thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Shot if he has to take too many more of those.
Countryman looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Mini Countryman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Countryman throws a leg kick that is checked
and Shot makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Countryman misses with a low kick.
Countryman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Shot looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Countryman throws a sloppy head kick and Shot moves out of range easily.
Countryman tries a head kick but it misses.
A clash of legs there as Shot blocks the low kick.
Countryman tries to work over Shot's front leg with a kick but Shot checks it.
Countryman tries to land a front kick but Shot steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Shot takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Countryman explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Countryman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Countryman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Countryman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Shot can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Countryman looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Countryman is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Countryman extends the arm and Shot is forced to tap!
