Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tony Kazarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Bariles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tony Kazarian has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tony Kazarian seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Erik Bariles!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Taro Takaoka and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazarian shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bariles defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kazarian.
Kazarian throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bariles lands with an uppercut that bounces Kazarian off the cage and back into rage.
Kazarian has a takedown stuffed.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bariles checks a leg kick.

Kazarian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bariles avoids it really well and circles away.

Kazarian fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bariles has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kazarian drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kazarian looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bariles fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Bariles tries to keep at a distance but Kazarian has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kazarian drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kazarian is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kazarian has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kazarian slowing the pace effectively.
Kazarian tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kazarian fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bariles prevents the takedown attempt.

Kazarian jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bariles walks away with a smile on his face. Kazarian gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kazarian takes one to the chin there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kazarian misses with a takedown attempt - Bariles sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bariles stuffs the takedown attempt from Kazarian. Kazarian gets slowly back to his feet.
Kazarian is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kazarian tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bariles swivels and escapes.
Kazarian swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bariles counters with a nice uppercut.
Bariles cracks Kazarian with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Bariles stuffs the takedown.
Nice uppercut lands for Bariles. That snapped Kazarian's head back.
Bariles clobbers Kazarian with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Kazarian looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bariles!
Kazarian takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kazarian looking to ground and pound but Bariles is blocking nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bariles keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kazarian avoids the attempt from Bariles to control.
Kazarian looking to finish with strikes here!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kazarian has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bariles's face.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kazarian is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Bariles can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kazarian connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Kazarian dominated that round.
That's time! Kazarian's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bariles smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Bariles slaps away a takedown attempt from Kazarian, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Good work by Bariles as he checks the leg kick.
Kazarian closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Erik Bariles is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kazarian gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Erik Bariles seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Bariles gets caught flat footed, as Kazarian shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kazarian passes Bariles's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bariles can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kazarian stops Bariles from getting back to his feet.

Kazarian is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bariles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kazarian. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kazarian throwing shots but Bariles is blocking nicely.

Kazarian is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bariles is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tony Kazarian!
