The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Villar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Villar leaves Jackson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jackson takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Villar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Villar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Villar misses with a head shot.
Villar lands a big shot there that rocks Jackson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Villar postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Jackson out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Villar goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
