Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Abbott Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bitchslap Tatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Abbott Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bitchslap Tatum!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Tatum.
Tatum is looking to clinch.
Abbott Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tatum circles away quickly and effectively.
Abbott Jr keeps the fight on the outside.
Abbott Jr moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Bitchslap Tatum has been cut.
Abbott Jr throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Abbott Jr cracks a nice hook into Tatum's ribs.
Abbott Jr lands a nice looking body shot.
Tatum looks gassed!
Abbott Jr closes the distance and lands a one-two.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Abbott Jr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tatum's guard.
Abbott Jr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tatum works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Abbott Jr postures up in Tatum's guard and throws a big left but Tatum blocks it.

Tatum avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Tatum really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Abbott Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Abbott Jr drops back looking for a leg! Tatum is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tatum manages to kick Abbott Jr off! Abbott Jr jumps back into Tatum's guard.
Abbott Jr postures up in Tatum's guard and throws a big left but Tatum blocks it.
Abbott Jr is in close to Tatum's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Abbott Jr working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tatum's head.
Abbott Jr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tatum works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Abbott Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Abbott Jr forces his way into half guard.

Abbott Jr lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abbott Jr tries to pass to full mount but Tatum defends it.
Abbott Jr is controlling the pace.
Abbott Jr not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Abbott Jr slips a nice elbow through Tatum's hands, connecting with Tatum's forehead.
Abbott Jr thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tatum's head.

Abbott Jr wants to take a breather but Tatum is having none of it.

Abbott Jr seems to be working for a kimura but Tatum defends the submission attempt.

Abbott Jr is nestled in close to Tatum, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Abbott Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Abbott Jr is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tatum defends it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tatum has hold of Abbott Jr's hands but Abbott Jr slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Abbott Jr seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Abbott Jr in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Tatum tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Abbott Jr!
