Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between tyson Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Carrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carrey has chosen When the man comes around - Johnny Cash as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Griffin throws a right and a left that Carrey avoids nicely.
Carrey has his takedown stuffed
and Griffin counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Carrey gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Griffin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Carrey shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Griffin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Carrey thinking.
tyson Griffin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Carrey.
Griffin lands a nice hook to Carrey's body. Carrey takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Carrey bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Carrey drops back, looking for a kneebar! Griffin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Griffin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Griffin!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Griffin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Carrey throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Griffin escapes and throws Carrey's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Carrey tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Griffin presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Griffin is landing with some decent strikes but Carrey is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Carrey sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Griffin connects with a nice short shot to Carrey's temple.

BOOM! Griffin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Griffin loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Carrey scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Griffin land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Griffin stands and salutes the crowd.
