Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Hoang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Licud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alex Licud is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoang keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Hoang lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Alex Licud has been cut.
Hoang fails to land with a series of punches.
Licud closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hoang to the mat! Hoang manages to get full guard.
Hoang is looking to stand up but Licud isn't so interested in that idea.
Licud stays in close to Hoang's body and controls the position.
Licud sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hoang's guard.

Let's hope that Licud has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Alex Licud.
Hoang uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Licud.

Licud lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hoang circles away quickly and effectively.
Hoang could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Licud fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Licud throws a wild body kick that Hoang sees coming a mile off.
Licud drives through with a takedown into Hoang's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Licud distracts Hoang with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Licud cracks Hoang with a solid left hand.
Licud lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Licud postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Licud postures up in Hoang's guard and throws a big left but Hoang blocks it.
Hoang avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hoang is breathing heavily.
Licud is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Licud not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Licud's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Licud takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Licud is controlling the pace.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Licud lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Licud looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Licud dominated that round.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Licud jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Alex Licud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Licud fails to land with a series of punches.
Licud darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Licud winds up and cracks Hoang with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Oh Hoang is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Licud lands a nice short elbow.

Licud lands a big elbow - Hoang is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Licud!
