Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy NoMates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Dino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dino has chosen RAWR as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dino tries to bum rush NoMates with a series of wild strikes but NoMates uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

NoMates shoots in but Dino avoids the takedown attempt easily.
NoMates avoids a punch combination nicely.

and NoMates cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

NoMates has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dino uses from the top position.

Dino slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

NoMates working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dino doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dino manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

NoMates pushes Dino off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

NoMates shoots in for a takedown but Dino shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
NoMates is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dino to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dino shrugs it off.
Dino avoids a series of strikes thrown by NoMates.

NoMates is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Dino is forced to tap! Great finish!
