Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Wispe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wispe has chosen Me Against The World as his entrance music. Matthew Wispe has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew Wispe!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wispe misses the shot to the body.
Mason misses with a series of wild punches.
Mason uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wispe.
Mason throws a leg kick but Wispe checks it.
Mason throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wispe's waist but Wispe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mason off to one side.
Mason goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Wispe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wispe looks to score with a jab to the body but Mason is just out of range.

Mason takes a kick to the side of the head.
Mason drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Mason throws a left and a right that both miss
and Wispe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mason on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wispe misses with a shot to the body
and Mason connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Wispe lunges at Mason with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mason's hand.
Mason fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Mason. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mason changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wispe tries to avoid it but Mason manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wispe to the ground. Wispe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mason shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wispe but Wispe pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wispe stuffs the takedown attempt from Mason. Mason gets slowly back to his feet.
Mason is breathing heavily.
Mason takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick misses from Wispe.
Wispe thows a left - swing and a miss!

Mason gets a clinch.
Wispe will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mason up against the cage.

Wispe pulls guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Wispe is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mason rolls with it to try and escape but Wispe cranks on the arm and Mason is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
