Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kurtis De Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jermaine Choake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Choake comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hans Zimmer - The Kraken kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jermaine Choake is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jermaine Choake!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choake avoids a punch combination nicely.
De Hughes misses the jab.
A combination from De Hughes does no damage.
De Hughes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Choake circles away quickly and effectively.
De Hughes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
De Hughes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Choake.
Choake shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. De Hughes is trying to defend but Choake finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
De Hughes pushes Choake off but Choake dives into side control.

It looks like Kurtis De Hughes has been cut.

Kurtis De Hughes's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Choake takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
It looks like Choake might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Choake breaks from De Hughes's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Jeez, Kurtis De Hughes's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

After winning the bout, Jermaine Choake thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
