And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machida drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Machida decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Machida wants to clinch up but Bronson keeps it at a distance.
Bronson tries to close the distance and clinch but Machida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Machida moves in looking to clinch but Bronson pushes him off.
Lyot Machida seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bronson misses with a lunging right hand
and Machida counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Machida tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bronson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machida somewhat.

Bronson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Machida sprawls well initially but Bronson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machida is looking to improve his position.

Machida has his feet on Bronson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Machida.

Machida shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bronson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Machida wants to pass the guard but Bronson is keeping the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bronson has a closed guard, preventing Machida from standing up.
Machida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bronson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Machidais looking to pass into half guard but Bronson pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bronson is in guard.

Bronson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Machida shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Machida not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Machida wants to take a breather but Bronson is having none of it.
