PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Farr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Trinckelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Farr comes to the cage accompanied by Welsh National Anthem. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Farr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Tony Trinckelton!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trinckelton lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Farr backs up against the cage.


It looks like Tommy Farr has been cut.
Trinckelton throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Trinckelton displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Farr throws out the jab.
Tommy Farr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trinckelton has a takedown stuffed.
Farr misses with a two punch combination.
Trinckelton moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Farr lands with a straight right. Trinckelton didn't see that one coming.
Trinckelton fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Farr moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Trinckelton misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Trinckelton just misses with a punch to the body.
Farr throws an overhand right that lands on Trinckelton's shoulder, as Trinckelton tries to avoid the shot.
Tommy Farr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Farr lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Trinckelton ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Farr moves away.

Trinckelton has Farr up against the cage in a clinch.
Trinckelton fails to pull guard.
A frustrated look appears on Farr's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Trinckelton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Farr smiles and moves away.
Tommy Farr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Trinckelton.
Farr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Trinckelton circles away quickly and effectively.
Farr takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Farr takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Trinckelton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Farr stops a takedown attempt from Trinckelton.
Farr looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Trinckelton fails to pull guard.
Trinckelton has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Farr avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Trinckelton changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Farr fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Farr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A cross from Farr lands.
Trinckelton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Farr circles away.
Trinckelton moves out of range as Farr strikes.
The crowd cheers as Farr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Trinckelton doesn't seem phased though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Farr scores with a jab to the body.
Trinckelton looks gassed!
Trinckelton misses with a series of wild punches.

Oooooh!!! Farr has knocked Trinckelton down with a huge combo! Farr steps away and waves a wobbly Trinckelton back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


It looks like Tony Trinckelton has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Trinckelton throws the left hand but Farr avoids the punch easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Farr.
Farr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Trinckelton.
Trinckelton defending well as Farr loads up on a big left hand.
Farr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Trinckelton looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fighters circling - Farr throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Farr drops Trinckelton with a beautiful combination! Trinckelton stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Farr is looking for the KO!


Trinckelton is rocked!
Trinckelton glances at the clock... BAM! Farr nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Trinckelton crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Trinckelton is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tommy Farr!
