Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ernest Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gage Ruehlen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ernest Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gage Ruehlen!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruehlen tries for a takedown but Bass sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ruehlen steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bass.
Ruehlen tries to clinch but Bass moves out of range.
Bass waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ruehlen.

Ruehlen gets a double leg takedown into Bass's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bass keeping full guard, as Ruehlen tries to pass.
Ruehlen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Ruehlen trying to control but Bass is working from the bottom.
Ruehlen prevents Bass from getting back to his feet.
Ruehlen tries to free his leg and advance position but Bass is retaining full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bass keeping moving, preventing Ruehlen from controlling successfully.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gage Ruehlen wasn't active enough on the ground.
Ruehlen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ruehlen wants to clinch but Bass slips to the side
and Ruehlen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ruehlen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Gage Ruehlen has been cut.
A slow jab from Bass misses its intended target.
Ruehlen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bass misses with a straight right.
Ruehlen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bass tries to avoid it but Ruehlen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bass to the ground. Bass escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ernest Bass has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gage Ruehlen.
Bass bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Ruehlen's head.

Ruehlen is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
BOOM! Bass lands a beautiful left hook that drops Ruehlen. Ruehlen tries to recover but Bass is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Ruehlen lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
