Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aj Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Styles comes to the cage accompanied by I Am by Dale Oliver. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Aj Styles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Serrano!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Serrano tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Styles swivels and escapes.

Styles moves into the clinch successfully.
Serrano blocks the elbow strike.

Styles turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Styles decides to stand back up.
Serrano fails to land the takedown.

Styles has Serrano up against the cage in a clinch.

Styles lands a hook to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Styles lands a takedown into guard.

Styles has gone for a leg lock! Serrano slips out almost immediately though and dives into Styles's guard.
Serrano won't allow Styles to sweep him here.

Serrano throws a strike but Styles rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Styles wants to get up but he can't break Serrano's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Styles is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Serrano is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Serrano has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Serrano accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Styles bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Serrano's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Styles accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Styles stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Serrano swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Styles gets to his feet. Serrano looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Serrano is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Styles clinches up against the cage.
Styles scores with a shoulder strike.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Serrano looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Serrano wants to get back to striking at distance but Styles won't allow it.
Serrano has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Serrano creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Styles is working Serrano over against the cage.
Serrano looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Styles lands a right hand.
Styles lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Styles.
Serrano is trying to push Styles away but Styles has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Serrano misses with some punches.
Styles lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Serrano backwards.

Serrano breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Serrano closes the distance but Styles moves to the side

and Styles holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Styles working some nice short punches in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aj Styles dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Serrano has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Styles finds it's way round the side to connect with Serrano's head.

Styles digs a right hand into Serrano's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Serrano's gas tank.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Brian Serrano has been cut.
Styles lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Serrano.
Styles is struggling to control the position.
Styles lands a right hand that snaps the head of Serrano backwards.
Styles lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Serrano or not.
Styles lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Serrano backwards.


Serrano is rocked!
Styles has Serrano pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Serrano is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Styles - that's hurt Serrano badly! Oh, another knee lands and Serrano is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Serrano doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Aj Styles!
