PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Memph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matthew White told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Memph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew White!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Memph has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from White.
Memph fails with a takedown attempt.
White fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Memph tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but White was well out of range. Poor timing from Memph.
White blocks a head kick by Memph.
Memph on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
White keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
White bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Memph tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A nice inside leg kick there by White. That's going to slow Memph down.
White turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Memph on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Memph is breathing heavily.
Good leg kick by White there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's one minute gone in the round.
White cracks Memph with a right hand to the side of the head.
White throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
White connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
White lands with a cross.
White lands a high kick!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Memph takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Memph is rocked!
White lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Oh Memph is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
White feints a jab and as Memph dips his head, White unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Memph right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Memph falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! White smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
