Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Soloman van der Vaart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mr Guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van der Vaart comes into the arena with Nah Mean blaring out of the sound system. Guy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mother. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Soloman van der Vaart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mr Guy!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as van der Vaart lands an impressive looking overhand right. Guy doesn't seem phased though.
van der Vaart throws a series of strikes that have Guy backpedaling.
van der Vaart thows a left - swing and a miss!
van der Vaart scores with a punch to the head.
van der Vaart throws a shot from downtown. Guy moves away and avoids it.
Guy slips a straight right by van der Vaart.

Guy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging van der Vaart to the ground. Guy is now in van der Vaart's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Guy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. van der Vaart swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Guy accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Guy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Guy slips nicely into half guard.

Guy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but van der Vaart does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Guy throwing shots but van der Vaart is blocking nicely.
van der Vaart is looking to get back to full guard here but Guy has managed to pass to side control instead.
Guy works to advance to full mount. van der Vaart defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
van der Vaart knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Guy on the ground.
van der Vaart is bucking up trying to escape but Guy cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

It looks like Soloman van der Vaart has been cut.
Guy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Guy thowing shots but they're missing.
Guy trying to control but van der Vaart is having none of it.
Guy won't let van der Vaart get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Guy sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as van der Vaart is looking to escape.

Guy unloads with some shots from mount but van der Vaart bucks and avoids them well.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Soloman van der Vaart's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
