The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Young clobbers Jones with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Young tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Young slips under a jab from Jones.
Jones takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Young throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones throws a shot from downtown. Young moves away and avoids it.
Young moves into range and connects with a jab.
Young keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Young fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones blocks a head kick by Young.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Young takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
No joy there for Young, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Jones feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Young sprawling to the canvas! Young rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jones finish him?!

Young will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
