Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Javier Garrido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Garrido feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Garrido postures up in Anderson's guard and throws a big left but Anderson blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Garrido slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Garrido stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Garrido throws and elbow that misses. Anderson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Garrido's guard. Nice move by Anderson!

Garrido has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Anderson's face.

Garrido is persistently looking for the submission but Anderson is defending it well.

That has opened up Danny Anderson's cut even more.

Garrido is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Anderson is defending well though. Garrido let's go of the attempt for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Anderson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Garrido working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garrido swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Anderson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Anderson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
