The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ace gets caught flat footed, as Watanabe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Watanabe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ace utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ace is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ace wants to sweep but no luck.
Watanabe working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ace's head.
It looks like Mark Ace has been cut.
Watanabe stands up over Ace, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ace is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Watanabe's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Watanabe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Watanabe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Watanabe distracts Ace with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That has opened up Mark Ace's cut even more.

Mark Ace's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Ace's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
