Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cormac Whelan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Puman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whelan's entrance music is Bonny Portmore. A fine choice. Puman has chosen Lunatic Soul - Lunatic Soul as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Puman just misses with a elbow thrown towards Whelan's brow.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Puman keeps control of Whelan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Whelan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Whelan is looking to wear down Puman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Puman lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Puman connects with a leg kick. Whelan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Puman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Some bone on bone action there as Whelan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Puman in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
