The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sanches circles away quickly and effectively.
Powers throws a big shot that misses.
Powers swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Powers misses with a series of wild punches.
Sanches takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sanches.
Powers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sanches moves away.
Sanches tries to clinch up but Powers circles away and keeps his distance.
Powers throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sanches counters with a nice leg kick.

David Powers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Roger Sanches.
Well Powers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
