The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northrup has his takedown stuffed
and Calzada counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Calzada lands with a kick to the ribs.
Northrup with a poor takedown
and Calzada counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Northrup thinking.
Northrup looks gassed!
Northrup takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like Barney Northrup has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Northrup crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Calzada - the referee stops the clock and Northrup gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Calzada. Northrup manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Calzada lands with a good body shot.
Calzada lands a two punch combo.
Calzada throws a nice inside leg kick.
Calzada circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Northrup drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Calzada follows Northrup to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
