Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jean Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver's entrance music is Snow (Hey Oh). A fine choice. Jon Jones has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silver misses with a looping left.
Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones.
A jab lands there for Silver.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Silver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silver off to one side.
Jones misses with a double jab.
Jones swings for the body but Silver moves out of range.
Silver takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Silver closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. Silver pushes Jones against the cage but Jones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jones throws a looping overhand right but Silver ducks down to avoid it.
Silver throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it.
Jones swinging wildly here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Silver sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Silver gets the takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Silver working the ground and pound but Jones is defending the strikes.
Jones struggling a bit here.
Jones prevents Silver from moving into mount.
Jones is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silver's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jones is trying to maintain the position but Silver is very close to passing his half guard.
Jones keeping control of the position.
Silver throws a strike but Jones avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silver postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silver is looking to advance position but Jones has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Silver is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silver is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jon Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Silver throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones moves out of range of the strikes.
Silver misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Jones scores with a nice strike.
Jones takes a swing at Silver's ribcage but misses.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silver moves away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silver manages to avoid it.
Jones connects with the punch.
Silver just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Jones dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Jones lands an overhand right.
Silver fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jones with a hook.
Silver throws a jab when Jones was well out of range.
Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jones, as that shot connected.


Silver is rocked!
Silver moves away from the strike by Jones.
Oh Silver is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones slips a jab and a cross from Silver.
Jones lands a hook that stumbles Silver back into the cage. Jones follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Silver to the canvas! Jones pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Silver has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jon Jones!
