The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madison gets tackled into the cage by Cruz. Cruz maintains the clinch.
Cruz landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Madison goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Madison working aggressively here.
Cruz manages to break the clinch.
Cruz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Madison swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Madison swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Madison thows a body shot but no joy.

Madison swings wildly with an uppercut but Cruz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cruz keeps control of Madison as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Cruz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Madison throws a head punch that misses.
Madison is trying to break the clinch but Cruz is controlling him.
Cruz gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Madison misses with a punch to the body.
Madison wants to break the clinch but can't.
Cruz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Madison tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cruz was well out of range. Poor timing from Madison.
Madison lands with an overhand left.
Cruz tries to clinch there but Madison circles away.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Madison paws at him with a jab and circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cruz takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Madison misses with a series of wild punches.
Cruz tries to close the distance and clinch but Madison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cruz darts in and clinches Madison up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Madison dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Madison swats away the attempt to clinch by Cruz.
Madison swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cruz.
Oh Cruz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cruz ducks under a wild hook from Madison.
Madison jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Madison avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cruz tries to clinch there but Madison circles away.
Madison is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Madison shuts the power down on Cruz. Lights out, game over! Madison is your winner.
