Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Roza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zachariah Jabari!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roza just misses with a punch to the body.
Roza takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Jabari cracks Roza with a good jab.
Roza drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Roza slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Justin Roza wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Roza moves out of range as Jabari strikes.
Jabari lands with a shot to the body.
Roza shoots in looking for a takedown but Jabari manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Roza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Roza counters with a crisp one two that drops Jabari! Roza thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jabari to his feet! Jabari is in big trouble!
Jabari is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Roza pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jabari is still on wobbly legs! Can Roza finish him?
Roza dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Jabari has had enough and taps out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Justin Roza!
