The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
North throws an overhand right that lands on Cigar's shoulder, as Cigar tries to avoid the shot.
Cigar moves into the clinch.
Cigar jumps guard.
North trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Cigar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
North stands up over Cigar, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Cigar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

North content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
North drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and North jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cigar controls North momentarily but North frees himself.

North wants to control from the top but Cigar keeps moving.
Cigar is trying to hold North in close to prevent damage but North has managed to pass into half guard.
North prevents Cigar from standing back up.

North seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Cigar is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
