PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caleb Wiggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommi Turmiola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turmiola is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica: Enter Sandman. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turmiola misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Turmiola clinches.

Wiggins breaks the clinch.

Turmiola looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Wiggins is trying to stand back up but Turmiola is controlling him

Turmiola decides to stand up.

Turmiola drives through with a takedown into guard.

Turmiola gets to his feet - Wiggins follows without any prompting.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Turmiola fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wiggins to the ground. Turmiola is now in Wiggins's guard.
Wiggins has momentary wrist control but Turmiola slips an elbow through the middle.
Turmiola has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turmiola trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Turmiola decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Turmiola has Wiggins up against the cage in a clinch.
Wiggins is trying to push Turmiola away but Turmiola has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Wiggins tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Turmiola smiles and moves away.
Wiggins throws a leg kick
and Turmiola counters with a two punch combo.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Turmiola.
Wiggins is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Turmiola drops Wiggins with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wiggins looks back up at him and smiles so Turmiola waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Wiggins is rocked!
Wiggins drops his hands momentarily and Turmiola needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Wiggins just on the top of the head. Wiggins drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Wiggins - he's done!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tommi Turmiola!
