Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Couture!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackerz Warz!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Warz on the side of the head.
Warz showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Couture.
Warz with a lazy takedown attempt
and Couture counters with a solid body kick.
Warz with a poor takedown
and Couture counters with a left and a right that stings Warz.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Some wild striking there from Couture.
Couture lands a nice looking body shot.
Couture swings for the body but Warz moves out of range.
Couture lands with a thumping leg kick.
Warz looks gassed!
Warz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Couture tries to avoid it but Warz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Couture to the ground. Couture escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Andy Couture has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackerz Warz.
Nice jab there from Couture.
Couture darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Warz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Couture pinned against the cage. Couture gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Couture thuds a left hand into Warz's body.
Couture throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Couture lands a left and a right that sends Warz crashing to the canvas! Couture dives into mount looking to finish!
Warz is rocked!
Couture controlling the position easily from mount.
Warz is still in real trouble! Can Couture finish him?
Couture stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Couture wobbles Warz with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Couture dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Warz to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Andy Couture!
