The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grupe with a jab.
Grupe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shields closes the distance and clinches up with Grupe, looking for a takedown. Shields pushes Grupe against the cage but Grupe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Grupe lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Shields backs up against the cage.

It looks like Jake Shields has been cut.
Grupe misses with a few strikes there.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Grupe, as that shot connected.
Grupe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Grupe lands with a good body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Grupe cracks a nice hook into Shields's ribs.
Grupe scores with a hook to the body. Shields takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Grupe works the jab nicely.

Grupe drops Shields with a straight right hand, right on the button! Grupe follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
