Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Tempest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Jensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Tempest had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The key to victory for Paul Tempest has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jensen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tempest's waist but Tempest gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jensen off to one side.

Jensen closes the distance and pushes Tempest back into the cage.
Tempest wants a takedown.
Tempest misses with an elbow strike.
Jensen blocks an elbow strike from Tempest.
Jensen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tempest just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jensen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Paul Tempest has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Jensen.
Tempest landing knees to the head.

It looks like Steve Jensen has been cut.

Jensen manages to break the clinch.
Tempest lands a head kick. Jensen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Jensen darts in and clinches Tempest up against the cage.
Jensen dodges an elbow strike from Tempest.
Jensen drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jensen is trying to push Tempest away but Tempest has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Jensen takes a knee right on the jaw!
Tempest lands an elbow that stopped Jensen in his tracks for a moment.
Tempest comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

That has opened up Steve Jensen's cut even more.

Jensen pulls Tempest into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jensen can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Jensen is working an open guard so Tempest takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Tempest throws a head kick that misses.

Tempest lands a big head kick that sends Jensen tumbling to the mat! Tempest takes a step backwards and waves Jensen back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Jensen is rocked!

Tempest fails with the takedown

and Jensen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tempest won't be happy with that.
Jensen prevents Tempest from escaping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tempest managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Jensen.
Jensen has knee on belly momentarily but Tempest bucks him off and regains half guard.
Jensen thows a huge punch but Tempest dodges it nicely.

Jensen looks to land a strike but Tempest avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Jensen trying to move into half guard but instead Tempest has managed to sweep!

Tempest stands and steps away. Jensen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Tempest throws a nice head kick!

Steve Jensen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Steve Jensen's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
