Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takahatsu Honda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stewie Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honda's entrance music is Chiang - Koto. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Honda to score with a decent uppercut.
Honda displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones.
A looping hook to the body misses from Honda. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jones shoots in but no luck this time.
Honda throws the kick towards the body but Jones avoids it.
Honda swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Honda connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jones. Jones circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Honda looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.
Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Honda throws a sloppy head kick and Jones moves out of range easily.
Jones tries for a takedown but Honda sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Takahatsu Honda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stewie Jones.

Jones has Honda up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Honda's efforts to push away.
Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Honda is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jones prevents Honda from breaking the clinch.
Jones jumps guard but Honda stands there with Jones around his waist. Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jones drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Honda frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! Honda is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
