The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kirgiakos.
Meyer tries for a takedown but Kirgiakos circles away easily
and Kirgiakos counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Kirgiakos lands a big uppercut and Meyer crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Meyer looks OK. Kirgiakos waves Meyer back to his feet!
It looks like Richard Meyer has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Meyer is looking to clinch.
Kirgiakos lands an uppercut, right on the button! Meyer tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
