Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Luis Cantero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Federico Lovalente (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cantero might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to La mandanga. Federico Lovalente will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cantero goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jose Luis Cantero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lovalente tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lovalente chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Lovalente lands with a nice body kick.
Lovalente misses with an uppercut.
Cantero moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cantero fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Lovalente lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A punch combination from Cantero misses.
Cantero ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lovalente moves away.
Cantero shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Cantero is breathing heavily.
Lovalente connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Lovalente pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cantero is out of range and Lovalente settles back down.

Lovalente cracks Cantero with a right hand to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lovalente lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Good leg kick by Lovalente there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Lovalente clinches up with Cantero and pushes him back against the cage.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cantero. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Lovalente lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Cantero.

Lovalente manages to break the clinch.
Lovalente scores with a nice strike.
Lovalente avoids the body shot from Cantero.

Lovalente lands a big head kick that sends Cantero tumbling to the mat! Lovalente takes a step backwards and waves Cantero back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Cantero is rocked!
Lovalente fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cantero looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oh Cantero is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lovalente's corner calls for a 1-2. Lovalente obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Cantero chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Lovalente can pounce on him.
Cantero seems to have got his legs back now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lovalente drops Cantero with a big left hand! Cantero is injured, injured bad! Lovalente jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
