Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pekka Puukko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Mad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pekka Puukko has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Puukko tries to avoid it but Mad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Puukko to the ground. Puukko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Puukko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mad moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Puukko connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mad's hands.

Puukko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mad tries to clinch but Puukko is having none of it.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Mad manages to capitalize on a mistake by Puukko to take his back!

Mad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mad decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Puukko has Mad pressed against the cage, preventing Mad from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Puukko tries to pull guard but Mad holds him up against the cage and eventually Puukko drops back down to his feet.
Mad prevents a takedown attempt there.

Mad has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Puukko uses from the top position.

A close round but Don Mad will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Puukko closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Puukko throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Mad stumbling backwards into the cage! Mad bounces back off the cage towards Puukko, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Puukko lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Puukko celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
