The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombard ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Lombard pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A lazy body kick from Cooper
and Lombard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lombard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Lombard blocks the body kick.
Cooper misses with the body kick
and Lombard counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Lombard throws a series of strikes that have Cooper backpedaling.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lombard lands a nice hook to Cooper's body. Cooper takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Lombard scores with a jab to the head.
Cooper throws a half hearted mid kick.
Cooper throws a head kick that misses
and Lombard counters with a leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Lombard. That snapped Cooper's head back.
Cooper shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lombard sprawls well. Lombard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cooper gets slowly back to his feet.
Cooper looks gassed!
Lombard drops Cooper with a huge uppercut! Cooper drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Lombard is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
