The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joseph throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kana takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Mitchell Joseph seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joseph misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kana cracks a nice hook into Joseph's ribs.
Joseph looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Joseph throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kana shoots in looking for a takedown but Joseph manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kana's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Kana thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kana is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kana drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Joseph dives on top into guard.

Kana has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Joseph should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Kana has tightened it up now! Joseph should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
