PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Keijo Keijukainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sopheap Seng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keijukainen comes into the arena with Disturbed - Warrior blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sopheap Seng!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Keijukainen blocks the leg kick.
Keijukainen looks for a takedown but Seng sprawls well.
Keijukainen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Seng sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Keijukainen somewhat.
Keijukainen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keijo Keijukainen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice sprawl there from Seng as Keijukainen shoots in.
Seng fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Keijukainen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Keijukainen shoots for a takedown but Seng saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Seng moves in looking to clinch but Keijukainen pushes him off.
Keijukainen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seng tries to avoid it but Keijukainen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seng to the ground. Seng escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Seng tries to close the distance and clinch up but Keijukainen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Keijukainen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Seng avoids it really well and circles away.

Keijukainen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Seng pulls his leg out and moves away.
Keijukainen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Seng.

Seng moves into range and clinches up with Keijukainen.

Seng escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Seng throws a shot to the body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Seng, right into the meat.
Seng lands a leg kick that knocks Keijukainen off balance momentarily.

Seng is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Keijukainen. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Keijukainen shoots and misses
and Keijukainen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Keijukainen dives in and grabs Seng's left leg, looking for a takedown. Seng pushes down on Keijukainen's head and hops out.
Seng throws a right and a left that both miss.
Seng stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Seng wants it to stay on the feet.
Seng listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Seng lands a good knee to the midsection. Keijukainen won't want to take too many of those.

Seng bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Keijukainen's head backwards.
Seng displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Keijukainen.

Keijo Keijukainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Keijukainen is defended easily by Seng.

Keijukainen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Seng's waist but Seng gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Keijukainen off to one side.

Seng drops Keijukainen with a big knee straight up the middle! Keijukainen is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Oh Keijukainen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Seng walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Keijukainen drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Seng swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Keijukainen's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
