Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Claude Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and QL Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Claude Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, QL Hicks!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hicks shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harper as he avoids it easily.
Hicks moves out of range as Harper strikes.
Harper scores with a sloppy right hand. Hicks should have avoided that one.
A telegraphed right hand from Hicks misses the target.
Hicks fails with a takedown attempt.
Harper tries a low kick but Hicks avoids it.
Hicks with a poor takedown
and Harper counters with a slapping leg kick.
Claude Harper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of QL Hicks.

Harper throws a series of punches but Hicks avoids them all with ease.

Hicks shoots in looking for a takedown. Harper tries to sprawl out of it but Hicks keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harper manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Harper throws a right hand that Hicks ducks under and follows up with a left that Hicks also avoids with ease.

Harper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Claude Harper is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hicks fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harper avoids it really well and circles away.
Hicks will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hicks is landing with some decent strikes but Harper is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but QL Hicks will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Harper stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hicks shoots in looking for a takedown but Harper manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hicks's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Harper throws a right hand that Hicks ducks under and follows up with a left that Hicks also avoids with ease.

Harper motions for Hicks to come forward. Harper throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Harper moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Claude Harper dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
