Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hopsan Barley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rulon Oboev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Barley tries to reverse the position but Oboev maintains control.

Oboev goes for an armbar but Barley turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Barley.

Oboev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Barley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Barley stands and throws Oboev's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Barley tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Barley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Oboev, who protects the arm well.

Barley is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Oboev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Barley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Oboev manages to work his way to half guard, despite Barley's best efforts.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barley tries to free his leg and advance position but Oboev is retaining full guard.
Barley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Barley is sitting in close to Oboev's body. Oboev has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Barley is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Barley is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Oboev.
