The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tacos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joe was well out of range. Poor timing from Tacos.

Tacos shoots and misses
and Joe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tacos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tacos takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Joe feints a jab promting Tacos to slip. Joe then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tacos slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Tacos takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tacos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Joe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Tacos under the eye.

Tacos shoots for a double leg takedown but Joe sprawls well. He's pushed Tacos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Joe is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Tacos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tacos lands in his opponent's guard.
Joe will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tacos looking to sit in guard and control but Joe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Joe tries to free his leg and advance position but Tacos is retaining full guard.

Tacos lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Joe!
Tacos throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Joe because Tacos loaded up on that one.

Joe throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tacos takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Tacos takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Joe is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Tacos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Joe is fending him off so far but Tacos persists. Nope, Joe circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Tacos shoots in for a double leg but Joe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Tacos is breathing heavily.
Tacos takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Joe goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Joe closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Tacos! Joe dives in looking to finish! Tacos is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
