Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Laruso !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Laruso counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Laruso .
Young pulls Laruso in close to his closed guard and prevents Laruso from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young is trying to control the position but Laruso postures up.
Laruso trying to control but Young is working from the bottom.
Young looking for a sweep. Not yet Young, not yet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Young is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Laruso pulls his head out easily.

Young flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Laruso drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Young dives on top into guard.

Laruso is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Laruso is looking for a triangle but Young pushes his legs off easily.

Laruso throws his legs up looking for a submission but Young uses it to pass to side control.

Young decides to take the fight back to the feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Young fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Laruso to the ground. Young is now in Laruso 's guard.

Laruso is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Young got a little sloppy there for a moment and Laruso has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Young has managed to get both his arms back between Laruso 's legs - danger averted.

Young drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Young jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Daniel Laruso will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Laruso changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Young tries to avoid it but Laruso manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Young to the ground. Young escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Laruso misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Young goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Young takes the fight into the clinch.
Young prevents Laruso from breaking the clinch.
Laruso wants to break the clinch but can't.
Laruso tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Young connects with a knee to the head.

Young has Laruso pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Young pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Laruso tumbling to the mat - Young dives into Laruso 's guard.

Young stands up over Laruso , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Young gets to his feet - Laruso follows without any prompting.
Young is looking to clinch.

Young closes the distance and clinches.

Young pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Laruso is trying hard to land a takedown here. Young sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Andre Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Laruso .

Young is posturing up here but Laruso has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Young tries to roll out but it's too tight and Young has to tap! Slick submission there by Laruso !
