Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Romerio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orlando Boom is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Orlando Boom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Julio Romerio!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Boom throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Romerio throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Boom to counter with a crisp jab.
Romerio lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Boom manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Romerio on his heels. He'll look to pass Romerio's guard now, I'm sure.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Romerio manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boom manages to get himself to full guard.
Boom wants to stand but Romerio is controlling the position.

Romerio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Boom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Romerio somewhat.
Boom throws a looping overhand right but Romerio ducks down to avoid it.

Boom throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boom looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Romerio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boom defends it easily.

Romerio has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Boom is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Romerio.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boom tries to score with some ground and pound. Romerio controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
You can see the frustration on Romerio's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Orlando Boom will probably get the nod.

The fight stays on the outside here - Romerio looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Romerio is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boom shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Romerio is trying to defend but Boom finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Boom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Romerio on the ground.

Boom drops his hands momentarily and Romerio takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Boom avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Boom shoots for a double leg takedown but Romerio sprawls well. He's pushed Boom's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Orlando Boom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julio Romerio.

Romerio has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Boom should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Romerio has tightened it up now! Boom should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
