Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gazelli Sagan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gazelli Sagan!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagan is looking to clinch.
Smith tries to clinch but Sagan is having none of it.
Gazelli Sagan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sagan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Sagan lands an elbow.
Smith is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sagan off and has taken his back!

Smith just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Sagan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Smith smiles and moves away.
John Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gazelli Sagan.
Sagan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Sagan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sagan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Smith circles away quickly and effectively.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Sagan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sagan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Smith pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Sagan goes for a takedown attempt but Smith pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Smith tries to bum rush Sagan with a series of wild strikes but Sagan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Sagan. Sagan gets slowly back to his feet.
Smith tries to clinch up.
Sagan misses with the combination.
Sagan scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Smith lands with a thumping leg kick.
Sagan shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sagan throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.

Sagan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith throws a head kick but Sagan moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Smith.
Sagan misses with a hook
and Smith counters with a head kick. That will keep Sagan thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sagan is defended easily by Smith.
Smith ducks under a wild hook from Sagan.
Smith tries to clinch but Sagan is having none of it.
Sagan throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smith throws a push kick but Sagan slaps the foot to one side.
Sagan throws a big shot that misses.
Smith throws a head kick that half lands.
Nice straight punches there by Sagan. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sagan.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A looping hook to the body misses from Sagan. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Sagan pushes him off.
Gazelli Sagan seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Sagan sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

John Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Sagan gets tackled into the ropes by Smith. Smith maintains the clinch.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sagan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Smith throws a body punch but Sagan moves out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sagan shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Smith ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Sagan has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Smith clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Sagan cracks Smith with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Smith from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Even with his hooks in, Sagan manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Smith is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Smith is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Smith lands a front kick.
Sagan connects with a crisp jab.
Sagan lands with a nice combination. Smith backs away looking to recover.

Smith is rocked!
Sagan avoids the head kick by Smith.
Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Sagan just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! And now a right hook, right on the button! Smith has gone limp, and this one is over!
