Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Happy Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustav Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day misses with a body shot.
Graves blocks a head kick by Day.
Day looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Graves blocks a jab.
Graves throws out a loose jab but Day uses good head movement to avoid it.
Graves jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Day fails in his attempt to clinch.
Graves misses the jab.
Day misses with a head kick.
Graves avoids a kick to the body.
Day scoring well with a low kick there.

Graves scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Day wants to stand and escape but Graves is having none of it.
Day is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Graves slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Graves trying to control the position from guard on top but Day is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Happy Day has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Graves dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Day. That did some damage!
Day swings for the body but Graves moves out of range.
Graves throws an overhand right that lands on Day's shoulder, as Day tries to avoid the shot.

Graves throws a hook to the side of Day's head but Day sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Graves tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Day was well out of range. Poor timing from Graves.
Graves feints and then cracks Day's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Day down.
Graves shoots in for a takedown but Day shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Graves closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Day's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Day has control of Graves's left arm, preventing Graves from doing any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We're going to have a standup here because Happy Day wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Graves takes a swing at Day's ribcage but misses.
Day throws a leg kick which misses Graves's front leg but catches the back leg as Graves tries to avoid it.

Day connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Graves's hands.
Graves thuds a left hand into Day's body.

Day swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Graves cracks Day with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Graves loads up on a big right hand but Day slips the punch.

Day tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Graves paws at him with a jab and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Graves swats away the attempt to clinch by Day.
Day fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Happy Day seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Day throws a body kick the misses
and Day takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Graves lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Day circles away quickly and effectively.
Day throws a head kick but Graves moves out of range.
A cross from Day lands.
Day connects with a right hand. Graves shakes it off.
Day lands a nice shot that snaps Graves's head back.
A big left from Day misses.
Graves misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Graves fails with a takedown attempt.
Day lands with a kick to the temple. Graves shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Gustav Graves has been cut.
Day throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Graves.
Day lands with an uppercut that bounces Graves off the cage and back into range.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Graves throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Graves keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Graves throws an overhand right that lands on Day's shoulder, as Day tries to avoid the shot.
Graves swats away the attempt to clinch by Day.
Graves shoots in for a takedown but Day shows good takedown defense.
Day uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Graves.
Graves bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Day lands a head kick. Graves smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
A punch lands to the side of Graves 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Graves throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Day's waist but Day gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Graves off to one side.
Happy Day has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gustav Graves.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
