The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dexter connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Dexter drives through with a takedown into Clark's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Dexter wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Dexter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Clark works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dexter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Dexter trying to control the position from guard on top but Clark is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mark Dexter has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Dexter is looking to take a break and control but Clark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dexter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Clark does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Dexter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mark Dexter hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Dexter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Clark checks it well.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Dexter.
Dexter misses with a body kick.
Dexter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dexter throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Clark misses with a looping right.
Clark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Clark takes a swing at Dexter's ribcage but misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Clark thuds his right hand into Dexter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dexter throws a looping overhand right but Clark ducks down to avoid it.
Dexter throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Clark lands with a nice body punch.
Clark fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dexter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Clark throws a right hand that misses
and Dexter counters with a nice uppercut.
Dexter closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Clark's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dexter throwing strikes but missing.
Dexter wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving.
Dexter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Clark is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dexter is looking to stand up but Clark won't let him.

Clark avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dexteris looking to pass into half guard but Clark pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Clark is in guard.

Clark seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dexter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dexter tries to roll over but Clark keeps him under control.
Dexter moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Dexter dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dexter throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Mark Dexter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Clark fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dexter manages to avoid it.
Dexter gets a double leg takedown into Clark's guard.

Dexter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Clark is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Clark has escaped and now he's on top!
Clark in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Dexter tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Clark stands and throws Dexter's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dexter tries to improve position but can't.

Dexter prevents Clark from improving position.
Clark trying to control the action but Dexter is working from the bottom.
Dexter tries to buck Clark off but Clark is having none of it.
Clark remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Clark advances nicely into full mount.
Dexter avoids a series of strikes thrown by Clark.
Dexter is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dexter wants to hold on but Clark pushes him away.
Clark can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dexter is looking to escape.
Dexter is working to get back to half guard.

Clark with a couple of short strikes.
It looks like Mark Dexter has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clark throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Clark has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dexter's face.
Mark Dexter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mark Dexter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Clark!
