Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ailistar Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jima Jammy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ailistar Overeem has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jammy tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Overeem manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A slapping body kick lands there for Jammy.
Jammy has a takedown stuffed.
Nice takedown defense from Jammy. No joy for Overeem on that attempt.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Overeem enables Jammy to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Overeem manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jammy is pushing down on Overeem's leg trying to pass to half guard. Overeem is fighting to maintain full guard but Jammy has managed to sneak the leg through.
Overeem is breathing heavily.
Jammy is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Jammy stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Overeem to get to his feet.
Jammy stuffs the takedown.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Overeem fails with a takedown attempt.

Jammy lands a big head kick that sends Overeem tumbling to the mat! Jammy takes a step backwards and waves Overeem back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Jammy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Overeem's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jammy prevents Overeem from getting the reversal.

Jima Jammy has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jammy avoids the body shot from Overeem.
Overeem shoots for a double leg takedown but Jammy sprawls well. He's pushed Overeem's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jammy has closed the distance and engaged Overeem in a clinch.
Jammy lands a body punch in the clinch.

Jammy has hold of one of Overeem's legs. Overeem is fighting the takedown attempt but Jammy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Jammy gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Jammy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jammy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Overeem with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jammy is trying to control the action in half guard but Overeem is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Jammy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Jammy closes the distance and pushes Overeem back into the cage.

Jammy pushes Overeem off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Jammy instigates a clinch.
Jammy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Overeem walks away with a smile on his face. Jammy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jammy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Overeem defends it nicely.

Overeem fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jammy to the ground. Overeem is now in Jammy's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jammy holds on and takes a little breather.

Jammy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Overeem defends well.

Jammy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jima Jammy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jammy closes the distance and clinches.

Jammy pulls Overeem into guard.
Jammy wants to sweep but no luck.
Overeem with a flurry of punches that miss.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Overeem throws and elbow that misses. Jammy uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Overeem's guard. Nice move by Jammy!
Ailistar Overeem has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jima Jammy is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Jammy is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Well Jammy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
