Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Valesquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Valesquez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Ratamahatta" by Sepultura. Bell has chosen Never Say Die as his entrance music. Joe Bell acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fabricio Valesquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Bell!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Valesquez controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself.

Valesquez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bell can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Valesquez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bell defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bell wants to take a breather but Valesquez is having none of it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Valesquez is in trouble now - Bell has advanced to mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Valesquez finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Valesquez shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed Valesquez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bell working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bell connects with a nice short shot to Valesquez's temple.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Valesquez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bell throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bell feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Valesquezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

And that's the end of the fight!
Joe Bell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
