Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a shot from downtown. Diaw moves away and avoids it.

Silva fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Silva lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Silva throws a hook to the side of Diaw's head but Diaw sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Diaw has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Silva finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaw's head.

and Diaw counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Derrick Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva throws a hook but Diaw avoids it easily.
Silva looks to land a right hand but Diaw moved out of range.

Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaw was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.

Silva misses with a hook. Diaw ducked under it nicely.
Diaw dips to his left and cracks Silva with an uppercut!

Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
Diaw has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Diaw there as he acknowledges the shot.

Diaw keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Diaw lands an overhand right.
Silva throws a right hand that misses
and Diaw counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Silva looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Diaw keeps control of Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Diaw lands with a left to the head.
It looks like Derrick Silva has been cut.
Diaw pushes Silva back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Silva is rocked!
Diaw loads up on a right hand - it lands flush and knocks Silva senseless! What a punch!
